This is a log of all passenger railroad station openings and closings in the Lower 48 United States since January 1, 2005. It is associated with this map. To be included in the log, a railroad needs to begin service to a new station or end service to an existing station. If a station is temporarily or permanently moved to a nearby location while retaining its same name, the change is not included below, although the map will be updated to reflect the new location.
